The Commons of Commonwealth
The tradition of giving back to the communities in which we live and work is an integral part of Commonwealth. We try to take it a step beyond work, sponorship and monetary donations into a more personal level within the communities.
Lending a Hand
September 2009 David Hynes holds a pan as Tom Bodkin slides in some fried catfish from the deep fryer at Newburgh's 29th annual Fiddler Fest held on the banks of the Ohio River at the Old Lock and Dam Park. The festival is sponsored by Historic Newburgh with the money raised going towards the revitalization of the Warrick County Town.
Bike MS: City to Shore Ride 2009

Named by Bicycling Magazine as the "The Best cycling Getaway in NJ", this event is to raise money on behalf of people living with MS (Multiple Scerloris). Cyclists come from all over the globe to participate in this 'Ride of a Lifetime'. There are several route options which starts at PATCO Woodcrest Station, in Hammonton where you travel through blueberry fields and pine barrens before winding your way to the ocean air in historic Ocean City. Brian Waterman, a Commonwealth Designer from our Ft. Wayne office, was one of the over 7,000 participants. Brian raised $560 of the $1790 that his team raised toward the target of $5 million for the 2009 event.
Indianapolis Monumental Marathon
The inaugural Indianapolis Monumental Marathon was held November 1, 2008. The course highlights include a number of monuments, Lucas Oil Stadium, the Arts Garden Massachusetts Avenue Cultural District, Butler University and many more. Some of our Commonwealth Employees and their families were there to help distribute water and 'snacks' to some of walkers/runners who participated in the race.
Computers for Charity
Technology is always changing and new equipment is required. As Commonwealth released old computer systems in June 2009, it was decided to hold a silent auction for these systems with all the proceeds going to Charity. Thus another win for everyone.
