Chesterfield Breaks Ground on $8 Million Sewer Project
The Town of Chesterfield broke ground on a new, $8 million
wastewater treatment plant August 9, 2011. Chesterfield received an
$8 million grant from the Indiana State Revolving Fund (SRF) and
other low interest loans to help fund this project. In the
last 2 years, the residents of Chesterfield have seen a 500%
increase in their utility rates. Once the plant is up and
running, it is expected that the residents of Chesterfield will see
a 23% reduction in their monthly sewer bill. It is
anticipated that this project will be completed in 18-24
months.
