The Water Quality Protection and Job Creation Act of 2011,
proposes to invest $13.8 Billion over 5 years in wastewater
infrastructure, along with several other categories, that include
Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO). These monies are intended to
be authorized, or established, through the following Titles:
- Title I: $13.8 Billion in Clean Water
SRFs for low interest loans and additional loan subsidizations for
water infrastructure.
- Title II: $250 Million in grants for
alternative water source projects.
- Title III: $2.5 Billion, which is part of the
$13.8 Billion from Title I, will be used to aid communities in CSO
related capital improvements.
- Title IV: Clean Water Trust Fund to assist in
the implementation of green and efficient projects, as well as Best
Management Practices.
- Title V: Use of direct Federal loans for water
related infrastructure improvements similar to the Transportation
Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act.
